Walk the path of the old Kauri Bushmen

The forest was mostly decimated by logging until 1920 but is now regenerating. It is now one of the best examples of NZ forest, thick green bush with waterfalls and streams. The Kauaeranga Kauri trail and the Pinnacles combine to create an awesome 5-7 hour hike. Take wet weather gear as in all cases in NZ and enough food and water for the day.
